Tasmanian Titles Action Plan

This is our major event for the year with many mainland visitors – as usual we want it to run smoothly.
Mt Joy is trials heaven, and our event and standard of observers is held in high regard.
This only happens because everyone makes the effort and helps with the many little jobs that need to be completed.
Have a careful read of the Action plan to see if your name is there or if you can offer your assistance for any of the actions.

– We need a list of Observers 15 per day locked in before event – Call Toni Pickering 0407313464
– We need as many members as possible on Saturday 5 March to set the trial – Call Ian Pickering 0418131341
– Last year this event ran at a loss, we had already used up all our sponsors for the Aus Titles. This year we need all members to ask about to gather Sponsorship for this event from $1000 for main sponsor to $100 for basic sponsorship – call Ian Gabbedy

This year could be a big year, with many mainland riders as this is the only large event in Tasmania this year.

Alexz Wigg training school

Thanks to Gas Gas Victoria, we have the chance to spend a day training with former Youth World and European Junior Champion Alexz Wigg.  Alexz is coming down to Mt Joy to ride the Tasmanian Titles on the March long weekend and will be conducting a training school on Friday the 11th from 10am.  What better way to get set for your own attempt at the Tasmanian Titles than some expert tuition the day before?  Alexz’s schools are very highly rated, those who have attended previously have given rave reviews.

It’ll cost $120, which is cheap considering the calibre of the teacher.  Numbers are limited, so if you’re interested call Craig on 0409 185 991 or Phil on 0415 861 036 to book your spot.

Committee meeting and training weekend.

Our first committee meeting of the year will be at midday on the 23rd of January at Mt Joy. As well as normal committee stuff like organising the calendar, there will also be a planning meeting for the Tasmanian Titles.
Chris has offered to do training for those interested and of course there’s plenty of riding places, so bring your bike and your camping gear and make a weekend of it.
Please pass this on to anyone who you think may be interested.
