Scoring

The Scoring System

In each section, the aim is to ride through the marked course while keeping your feet on the footpegs and not riding outside the section markers, falling off the bike or otherwise failing to complete the section. Riders who keep their feet on the footrests and successfully complete the section loose zero points. One point is lost for each time the ride places a foot on the ground up to a total of three points. Failure to complete the section, riding outside the section boundaries, falling from the bike and stalling the engine while footing attract a score of 5 points. In TMTC events, and in most other Australian events, we ride the “stop-allowed” rule. This means that you can stop and balance without losing points or stop while a foot is on the ground. In some clubs you may find that the “non-stop” rule applies, where you will lose five points if you stop moving forward.  Also note that in TMTC events, you are allowed to move backwards providing both feet are on the footpegs.

The video quality is rather low, but there’s some good information in this video from The Hell Team.
